A point in this sermon(Conley 2022) made me think of what ministry opportunities we have as a result of our suffering. Having a non-verbal autistic child allows us to minister to and encourage others, we can be an example of faith in an unknown future, we can give and receive brotherly care.
No one would choose this for themselves. But when when God chooses this for me, what will I say? “Depart from me, for I do not desire the knowledge of your ways”? No. Rather, “To whom shall we go Lord, you have the words of eternal life.”
